“A piece of Brazil in Lisbon”: Brazilian musical practices in the Portuguese capital
The purpose of this paper is to show how Brazilian musical practices are distributed in Lisbon – especially on its touristic area – in order to reflect upon the ways Brazilian migrant musicians are responsible for reproducing images of Brazil as well as for creating a space of nostalgia consumption for a Brazilian community in Lisbon.
